IMGhouse has been created to connect photographers with image buyers.
Our ambition is to create a service which makes it more efficient to buy and sell images. IMGhouse has attracted freelance photographers, hobby photographers and image stock agencies to provide images to a price and license suitable for each client.
For a long time, it has been difficult and time consuming for clients to find the right image within the enormous digital image archives, and it has been difficult for photographers to guess and predict what images to prepare that might get sold. IMGhouse makes it possible for the image suppliers to meet the client when there is a substantial need. IMGhouse is a brooker, supplying an image marketplace. IMGhouse is not a stock agency and we do not have our own image archives.
A unique an exciting feature with IMGhouse is that cients now are able to get hold of stock images from local places. A request may be expressed in such a way, that a photographer living in the right area is able to supply an image right away, like it would have been a photo assignment.
This service is a result of an idea that freelance photographer Silvia Man got when she was finding it hard to reach to the clients. The program development has been carried out by Stéphane Rondinaud. IMGhouse is under development and housed as an incubator at MINC in Malmö, Sweden.
